GBARC Meeting Minutes February 2012

President Chuck, WD9BB: called the meeting to order at 7 pm. All present were invited to introduce themselves with name, call, and community.
 
Secretary Report from Carl, W9BJ: Minutes for the January 6th meeting were read and approved.
 
Treasurer Report by Al, KC9QQO: The treasurer report was read and approved. Al will be in Qatar, the Middle East, ( the location of U.S. Central Command’s Forward Headquarters and the Combined Air Operations Center) next month and will not be at the March meeting. Good DXing.
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes January 2012

President Chuck, WD9BB, called the meeting to order at 7 pm. He commented on New Club officers. He thanked the leaders of ARES, and the Rock County Repeater Assoc. No visitors were present. 
 
Secretary, Carl, W9BJ, read the Minutes of the December meeting. They were approved.
 
Treasurer, Al, KC9QQO, read the report of our Financial Statement. It was approved. Dues for 2012 were accepted.
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes December 2011

President Carl, W9BJ:  called the meeting to order at 7 pm.  When you introduce yourself give your name, call, and town you live in.  Holiday candy treats were furnished by Carl, W9BJ.

GBARC Meeting Minutes November 2011

President Carl, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7 pm.    Self-Introduction Comments:   Antennas and towers you worked on this year.   Doug, W9PN, talked about his homebrew, low band, vertical antenna project.   With the help of Conrad, Chuck, and Al, two adding additional straight sections of tower were added, bringing the tower height to 50 feet.   A 33 foot vertical aluminum stinger sits on top of the tower, bringing the total height to 83 feet or 5/8 wavelength on 40 meters.   This is an insulated tower that Doug uses for good performance on 160 - 30 meters.

GBARC Meeting Minutes October 2011

Vice President, Doug, W9PN, called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.    When introducing yourself, comment on how often you participate in Sweepstake events on amateur radio; and are you active in the Wisconsin QSO party and other state QSO parties?   Bob, K9BNR (K9RIJ) had 100 contacts in the California QSO party.    Several members make a competitive effort.     They are Doug W9PN, Dave N9GQ, and Bob K9BNR.

GBARC Meeting Minutes September 2011

President Carl, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.    He had everyone introduce themselves.    We have four new guests. KC9UNK, Kelsey Kenney, Beloit; KC9UOR, Jacob Edwards, Beloit; KC9COL, John Miller, Janesville; and N9DAZ, Rick McGlynn, Rockton.
 
Minutes by Conrad W9DL were read and approved
 
Treasurer Report by Al KC9QQO was read and approved.         Field Day expense for gas and food was $119.

President Carl, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7 pm.   Members amd guests were introduced.
 
Recording Secretary Conrad, W9DL, read the minutes of the May meeting.  The minutes were approved.
 
Treasurer, Doug, KC9QQO, Al, gave the financial accounting.  It was approved.

President Carl, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7 pm.    Members and guests were asked to introduce themselves and comment about antennas. 
 
Dave, KA9SFT, wasn't ready to go, but he just retired from Hormel in Beloit.

Treasurer Report by Al, KC9QQO:     For May 2, meeting were read and approved.
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes April 2011

President Carl, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7 pm. Members and guests were asked to introduce themselves and comment about how their antennas made it through the winter.   Dave, N9GQ, said one antenna went down but he hustled out and got it fixed before the second snow.   Dale, AA9EP, lost his vertical on the top of tower, Conrad, W9DL, lost his G5RV and Carl, W9BJ, had his multi-band dipole come down.

GBARC Meeting Minutes March 2011

President Carl, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. He asked everyone to introduce themselves. They started with their name, call and what they had for breakfast. That seemed to be a challenge because some couldn’t remember.   Some had a lot of food and others had coffee only.  We also had a guest, Don Shaw, W9UG, Extra Class from South Beloit, Il.
