GBARC Meeting Minutes February 2011

President Carl, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.  He asked our guests to introduce themselves.  KC9PME, Daniel, attends Blackhawk Tech and lives in Janesville WI; and Dale, AA9EP;  He is married and lives in Clinton WI.   His daughter Ashley is KC9HGY.
 
Recording Secretary Conrad, W9DL:    Minutes for January 2011 meeting were approved as read.
 
Treasurer Report by Al, KC9QQO:   was read and approved.  Dave, N9GQ, was reimbursed $50.   He paid the 1 year internet fee for the club web site.   We have 17 paid members.

GBARC Meeting Minutes January 2011

President Carl, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.   He asked our guest to introduce himself.    Bob Knox, a Beloit resident, worked at Warner 's his entire life.    He has always been interested in radios.    When in the military service, he was in charge of a radio station on his post that also included the tower work.
 
Recording Secretary Conrad, W9DL:    Read the minute’s with the additions.     We will have a new starting time of 7:00 PM for a 6 month trial.
 
Treasurer Report by Doug, W9PM:    Read and approved.

GBARC Meeting Minutes December 2010

President Carl W9BJ called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.  He had everyone introduce themselves.  We had 13 people attend.  The "sign-in question" was “Did you get all your antenna work done for the year”?  We had five hams say yes, five said no and several comments: "it is never done", "after the wind", "still in the basement", and "just made it in November."
 
Minutes for October and November were read by Conrad, W9DL, Recording Secretary and approved.
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes November 2010

Vice President, K9DA, Donn Ambrose, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. 
 
Doug, W9PN, gave a Treasurer Report.   There is still money in the "kitty".   Dues for 2011 will be payable at our December 6 meeting.
 
Bring your check books.
 
Minutes of the October meeting were not available.
 
Donn, K9DA, led a discussion on "hot" topics of general interest.
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes October 2010

Vice President K9DA, Donn Ambrose, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.   Everyone introduced themselves.   N9FCN, Bob, and KA9SFT, Dave, are looking for help on their antenna project.
 
Minutes were read by W9DL, Conrad, and approved.    No Treasurer Report.
 
Program by W9DL, Conrad:  About installation of towers, cement, house brackets and guide wires.   The handouts were information from the Rohn catalog on specifications requirements on the subject.    A discussion followed how others do their tower projects.
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes September 2010

President Carl Cramer, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.    He had everyone introduce themselves and tell what they did in the form of ham radio this past summer plus their comments on Field Day, June 26-27.    W9BJ, Carl, and a Ham team put up the highest 40-80 meter dipole ever, at 50+ feet on F/D.   On tower One, we had a tri band beam; and on tower Two, we had a 20 meter beam.   The F/D antenna farm also had 3 vertical antennas.   A good time was had by all on Field Day. 
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes June 2010

President Carl W9BJ called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. He had everyone introduce themselves and tell what special DX they everworked.    Cuba and PSK 31 were mentioned.  W9PN Doug had a lot of P5’s.
 
Minutes by Carl W9BJ: were read and approved for the May meeting.
 
Treasurer Report by Doug W9PN was read and approved.  We are in good shape to pay the expenses of Field Day.
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes May 2010

President Carl Cramer, W9BJ called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.  Self introductions were given; and the question of the evening was, "Have you been doing any antenna work this Spring?"  Eleven members were in attendance.
 
Minutes of the April club meeting were read, corrected, and approved.  The treasury hasn't changed since the April meeting, so no specific report was given.
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes April 2010

President Carl Cramer, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.  The question of the evening was, "Have you ever had the opportunity to be a coordinator for Field Day?".    Five members had that experience of the sixteen attendees.
 
Minutes of the March club meeting, provided by Secretary Conrad Herald, W9DL, were read by Carl, W9BJ, and approved.
 
Treasurer, Doug Speer, W9PN, gave the financial report with a excellent balance in the checking account.  This gives us a good working fund for use
 

GBARC Meeting Minutes March 2010

President Carl Cramer, W9BJ, called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.   A motion was made to table the minutes and the treasures report and proceed to the program.   The motion carried.
Two things were mentioned:   Field Day is coming soon and Doug, W9PN, discussed our survey for 2010 Field Day; and a package deal of a tower, rotor and antenna will be posted on the club WEB page soon.
