Secretary Report:

Dean-K9FLO reviewed the minutes from the February 3, 2020 meeting.   The March 2, 2020 meeting was cancelled due to the Beloit Fire Dept. remodeling the conference room and the future use of the room is on hold until the Covig-19 dangers are gone.     Recommended for Approval by Chuck-wd9bb and seconded by Greg-k9gjn.

Treasurer Report:

Greg-K9GJN gave the treasures report.    Greg-k9gjn updated everyone on the current funds, expenditures for the month and upcoming bills.     Motion to approve the Treasurers report by Chuck-wd9bb and seconded by Dan-k9ibm.     Brett-k9by informed us because the Jefferson Hamfest was cancelled we would receive a table refund.

Old Business:        

Brett-k9by no news on pursuing a new club call sign.     Greg-k9gjn informed us he still watching and will continue to look for a new call.    Brett-k9by informs us he had received our banner back from Bill-k9wan which is the original.     Dean-k9flo let everyone know he has the new corrected banner and we were not charged for the new one.    Brett-k9by would like to have further discussions on needs of a bigger banner or patches or any other changes; table it for the next meeting.     Brett-k9by did a successful pretest with HERC (Bill Klemp) using the WISCOM network with four western counties Hospitals.    Future tests will follow with more Hospitals added but everything is on hold until the COVIG-19 has passed.    Brett-k9by is going to update the repeater net control script list.   Brett-k9by was contacted by the Janesville Rotary club about the 2020 Pie Ride it is not known if the Pie Ride will occur, but we should assume it will unless we here otherwise.     Brett-k9by we had a discussion on the Wi QS party.     Brett-k9by presented a list of presentations Kurt-ke9n can do at our future meetings:  1. Buying and selling Ham Radio, 2. Buying your first HF Radio, 3. Ham Radio Estate planning!,  4. Proper Mobile radio installation, 5. Maximize operation strategies, 6. Ham station layout ideas, 7. Understanding propagation, 8. Good repeater conduct rules, 9. Understanding HF radio filters, 10. An efficient 2m/440 low angle J-pole.    

New Business:

Brett-k9by: 2020 elections, for three open positions.   Nominations: Brett-k9by nominated by Dan-k9ibm, seconded by Greg-k9gjn, (Brett-k9by accepted), Lyndon-wa9jld nominated by Dan-k9ibm, seconded by Chuck-wd9bb, (Lyndon-wa9jld excepted), Chuck-wd9bb nominated by Greg-k9gjn seconded by Lyndon-wa9jld (accepted by Chuck-wd9bb), Dave-ak9f nominated by Dan-k9ibm, seconded by Brett-k9by (Dave-ak9f excepted).    Greg-k9gjn made a motion to close  the nominations and was seconded by Dean-k9flo.    Elections will be next month.     Brett-k9by informed us the club insurance was due for renewal; a discussion was held and the membership online decided it would be good to renew for next year.       A motion to approve renewal of the club insurance was made by Brett-k9by seconded by Lyndon-wa9jld.    Dean-k9flo will take care of payment.      Brett-k9by field day 2020 looks questionable; ARRL wants some new ideas and figure out alternatives.      Brett-k9by: virtual meeting seems to work and if everyone agrees we will continue using this method until the covig-19 is over.     Greg-k9gjn made a motion we continue using the virtual meetings until the Covig-19 is over and retain the virtual meeting ability for members who want to participate at our future regular meetings (this will depend on FD bandwidth).     Dean-k9flo seconded the motion, all approved and passed.     Brett-k9by asked if everyone would like to continue the weekly virtual get together everyone agreed, Wednesdays: 7:45-9:00pm.    Greg-k9gjn is checking into the possibility of having a PayPal account.    Brett-k9by suggested we start News pages.    NET News: Chuck-wd9bb explained his Senile Net logging techniques.    Repeater News: Greg-k9gjn gave the financial status of the repeaters, need to replace coax at Janesville repeater (145.450), try to install internet  access at Clinton (146.715), maintenance issues and future needs of the repeaters.     Brett-k9by events: Marconi day April 25 special event.
