Secretary Report:

Dean-K9FLO reviewed the minutes from the June 7, 2021, meeting on the web.     Recommended for Approval by Chuck-wd9bb and seconded by Greg-k9gjn.

Treasurer Report:

Greg-K9GJN presented the Treasurers report:   Greg reported the club’s current money balance and the monies paid out for State of WI registration, ARRL annual club insurance and Flowers.  Recommended for Approval by Dean-k9flo and seconded by Lyndon-wa9jld

Old Business:        

Field Day: Did everyone send in their receipts to Greg-k9gjn for reimbursements.     Everyone felt this years Field Day went very well and was uneventful (safe)!     Brett-k9by presented the FD results:  1184 contacts and the average for the past 12years is about1200 contacts (we did good).     Contacts: CW 660, phone 229, digital (FT8) 289.     Excellent result for the sections only missed one: Santa Barbra.       Total 1184 contacts, for a total 2139 points with multiplier, average contacts per hour 50 (good).      Brett-k9by: had discussion on the sections, countries, continents, and the Bands results.    Bob-w9ewz (Mr. CW) made 48% of all the contacts and Greg-k9jgn second with the FT-8 contacts, with additional contacts provided by Brett-k9by, Kevin-kc9pzi and Danell-kd9rzb      We had less operators than last year.      We improved our average number of contacts per hour (we did at least 10) over the entire event.      Brett-k9by still need to add up all the bonus points:  Kurt-ke9n provided Brett with a copy of the ARRL Bulletin.     We had letters to the serviced officials, and we had an ARRL official show up.     Danell will provide the media info.   Also more points for safety official and emergency power.      We did make a Satellite contact on 2m/440 for 100 points.     Brett-k9by and Bob-w9ewz will review the data base to verify the validity of all the contacts.      Brett-k9by had a hard drive failure and is in the process of recovering all the lost data so the results may be delayed.      Brett-k9by thanked everyone for participation and making this a highly successful event.    Brett’s-k9by do better list:   Bob-w9ewz suggested we separate the 6m beam from the Hex beam on the tower, a discussion followed.      Brett-k9by suggested we install a 10m-15m-20m Triplexer on the Hex beam next year, this should eliminate the issue.     Next, extend the ground bus on the power distribution bus on the left hand turn.     Lighting protection for the tower, add another ground rod at the tower base.       Lyndon-wa9jld added new pigtails so we can add GFI protection.    Carl-w9bj ask the breakdown on 6M phone contacts: 35, digital 46, no phone contacts on 10m just cw.      Brett-k9by is going to investigate improving setup and tear down times.      Danell-kd9rxb thank everyone for being immensely helpful and tolerant of a new Ham.     Chuck-wd9bb thank Greg-k9gjn helping the new ham on ft8 digital radio.      James-kd9rnx was thanked for cooking breakfast.

New Business:

Should we go back to in person meetings?     Brett-k9by suggested we keep both platforms going (video/in person).    Brett-k9by will contact the Fire dept about having meetings at the FD.
