Secretary Report:

Dean-K9FLO reviewed the minutes from the April 6, 2020 meeting.     Future use of the FD room is on hold until socializing is allowed.     Recommended for Approval by Chris-n9oeg and seconded by Lyndon-wa9jld.

Treasurer Report:

Greg-K9GJN report postponed till June.    

Old Business:        

Brett-k9by no news on pursuing a new club call sign (keep pursuing).        Brett-k9by shall we keep Logo Banner discussions open for any future changes?     Brett-k9by lets make our logo official and  add it to our club web site (Brett-k9by & Dean-k9flo will work on the site).   Kurt-ke9n displayed a sample of the Rockford RARA coffee mug, talked about what was needed and a local vendor.     Chuck suggested it would be a good time to update our club business cards with nets.    Dean-k9flo will pursue and Brett-k9by will check with AL-kc9qqo on past business cards.   Brett-k9by was contact by Jerrod about the up-coming Pie-Ride which has been rescheduled to Oct 3^rd, 2020.    Brett-k9by informed Jarrod we would provide communications assistance for the Pie-Ride.    Brett-k9by inquired on our club insurance status?     Dean-k9flo we are insured for another year.            

New Business:

Brett-k9by: our field day 2020 site looks very questionable.     ARRL is encouraging us to be creative, come with some new ideas and figure out alternatives.      One of the ARRL ideas is each member operate remotely (home), submit scores and they would be combined under the club name.      Another option would be challenging a rival club independently against each other.     The last option would be to setup social distancing on a common site within a 1000’ circle and social distancing each station within the circle.    This could be done with individual tents, antennas.      Kurt-ke9n suggested we setup teams of two at multiple home sites.    Brett-k9by: discussion on ideas and possibility of not participating this year.     It was decided to table Field Day commitment till the June meeting.      A Consensus we continue to us the virtual meetings.    

 Brett-k9by: 2020 elections will be tonight and there are four nominations from last month’s meeting, for which there are three open positions: Brett-k9by, Lyndon-wa9jld, Chuck-wd9bb, and Dave-ak9f.    The voting was done thru the Big Blue Button internet conferencing-voting program.    Brett-k9by, Lyndon-wa9jld, Chuck-wd9bb were re-elected.

Program: Kurt-ke9n gave a quick presentation of his new Super loop antenna he is building.  Everyone helped Don-kc0ith get his new antenna working.
