Secretary Report:

Dean-K9FLO, we reviewed the minutes from our September 11, 2023, meeting.     Recommended for Approval by Rusty-wi9get, seconded by Ed-kb9nbp.          

Treasurer Report: Greg-k9gjn reviewed the status of the Club funds.    A motion to approve by Lyndon-wa9jld and seconded by Kurt-ke9n.     

Old Business:    

     Brett-k9by discussed the Belvedere Hamfest, did anybody find any bargains, and what everyone thought of the Hamfest.     Everyone thought the attendance was less than last year’s Hamfest and the forecast of possibility rain/inclement weather could have affected the attendance.     Kurt-ke9n said sales were down at his indoor tables, lookers but few buyers.    Tower Electronics owner said they stopped carrying batteries (no demand) and said traffic was down inside this year.    Greg-k9gjn thinks traffic is down because of inflation, and everyone is getting older all agreed.    Still looking for a vanity club call.        

New Business

Kurt-ke9n will be putting out a new Hamrag and if anyone has any announcements e.g., foxhunt, events and if we would like to have in the Hamrag let Kurt-ke9n know.      Brett-k9by thank you Kurt-ke9n for the exposure and we’ll let you know.     We had a donation of and new Yaesu HT for a Foxhunt prize from Jim-kd9gdy and Brenda-kd9gdx.       We had a impromptu board meeting at the Hamfest since all board members were present.      Brett-k9by couple of ideas of doing a special event station, one maybe The Beloit Film Festival, or Booth at the County Fair (could be pricey).      Special event station for the club itself: 60^th year anniversary and maybe having it in February (7-10 days).   Acquire a special event 1x1 call, have QSL cards made, logging pgm (Brett can make).       Brett-k9by will contact Carl-w9bj for a write up on club history and Dean-k9flo has a 1965 photo of the original club house.     Have our club history posted on our Webpage.    Having a mini swap-fest maybe or maybe not.       Brett-k9by asked about how our video conferencing server is working?      Much better since changing over to Edge.      

 A motion to adjourn the meeting by Chuck-wd9bb and seconded by Greg-k9gjn.    The meeting adjourned at 7:05: pm.

Program:  Brett-k9by did a presentation on his 7” VNA antenna analyzer and Lyndon-wa9jld did a presentations on his Rigol spectrum analyzer.

Next Meeting will be November 6, 2023.
