GBARC Meeting Minutes September 2017

Introductions of all present members. 

Secretary Report:  Dean-K9FLO reviewed the minutes from the August 7, 2017 meeting, and the membership approved as read.

Treasurer Report: Greg-K9GJN gave the treasurers report for August and needed a reimbursement for the State of WI registration fee. Greg is waiting for the food receipts for field day. Carl was given a check for food reimbursement. The membership approved.

Old Business:

Status on debit card: Greg-k9gjn is waiting for an appointment with our banker.    Question on the Clubs call status,Brett-k9by has the documentation ready to send.     Dean-k9flo received an equipment list form Lyndon-wa9jld and will send a form for inventory to Carl-w9bj and Brett-k9by.     Brett-k9by recommended we put an annual budget together for next year.    The main line item is field day, but we have the license fee to the State of WI, domain name fee, and miscellaneous other fees.    We also have the fireman’s gift, and if we are going to host an annual party, that should be included in the budget as well.    It was also talked about having an insurance rider for Field Day.    Greg-k9gjn proposed to have the bank send paper statements to him and Brett-k9by recommended keeping the e-mail copy going to him.    The membership all approved.

New Business:

Brett-k9by, the Board wants to bring the Bylaws of the Constitution up to date, clarify and clean-up the Bylaws to meet the needs of today’s Club.    We had a review of the draft copy of the proposed Bylaw changes and the Boards reasons for all the changes.    After the review we decided to follow up with a vote on the new draft at the October 2nd meeting.   The draft is posted on our web site for review.    Brett-k9by previewed our new modernized Web site.   He explained the improvements, what can be done, how much more it can be customized.    Brett informed the membership that the web site would be open to the public Club members will have their own password to access internal Club information and needs.    Brett-k9by did a great job on the presentation!    A motion to proceed made by Carl proceed with the new web program seconded by Greg.    Announcements AL-kc9qqo is in route to his new home in Ca. and is selling his antenns.
