2025 ARRL Field Day

The Greater Beloit ARC Field Day 2025 event will be held at Lee Park in Rock County Wisconsin on June 28 and 29.

Location:
Lee Park, Rock County WI
9205 WI-67, Clinton, WI 53525
Northeast corner of WI-67 and WI-140, south of Clinton WI

NOTE! The park officially closes at 10PM. We have special permission to be in the park overnight, however there is NO CAMPING ALLOWED. We can not have any appearance of camping, specifically, no tents.

NOTE 2! The intersection at WI-67 and WI-140 is under construction and is closed to thru traffic!! Do not plan on going through the WI-67 and WI-140 intersection.

The best way to get to the park is approaching from the North on WI-140. From County Rd P and WI-140, head south on WI-140, and turn left at the north entrance of the park (11101 S 140) and then turn right in to the park. Follow the road south until you get to the pavilion area on the right. This approach should keep you on asphalt.

Attempting to enter from the south entrance (WI-67) will require "off roading" as the asphalt and road bed have been completely removed on WI-67 at the south entrance. If you insist on coming in from the south entrance, your best bet is to find an east/west cross road south of WI-67, head east from WI-140, then north to WI-67, and head west on WI-67 to the south entrance. You will have to go around the road closed barricades and then down off the asphalt (2' drop in road elevation, there is gravel ramp) and carefully proceed to the south entrance.

Time:
Setup - Saturday 28 June, 8AM
Operating - Saturday 28 June, 1PM to Sunday 29 June 1PM
Tear down - Sunday 29 June, 1PM to 3PM

Setup  Information:
We will be setting up under a 20' x 40' pavilion with concrete pad and many picnic tables. The location is heavily wooded so you may want to dress appropriately and/or bring bug spray for insects, especially during morning, evening and over night hours. You may also want to bring your own chairs if you don't fancy sitting at picnic tables for extended periods of time. We will have tarps to hang around the pavilion for when the rain inevitably comes. Hopefully, we won't have to hold down the roof of the pavilion when the winds pick up...

We will not be setting up any towers this year. The location has 3 tall trees favorably positioned for hanging wire antenna's. The plan is to hang the clubs 2 OCF dipoles covering 6, 10, 20, 40 and 80 meters using 3 trees for support. We are also planning on setting up a 5 band ground mounted vertical covering 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meters.

Power will be provided by the clubs 12 KW generator from about 12:45PM Saturday to 1PM Sunday. A small 2 KW generator will be available during setup.

Stations:
ICOM IC-7300 (phone/cw)
Yaesu FT-991A (phone/digital)
Kenwood TS-890 (phone/cw)

We will be using the clubs band pass filters on all stations.
We will be using N3FJP logging software for all 3 stations.
If you plan on operating and/or logging, you may want to bring anything special needed to make your operating / logging easier like pencil/paper, headphones/splitter, key/paddle/bug, hand/foot PTT switch, etc...

Saturday evening meal:
The club meal Saturday evening will be pizza from Mamma Lilla's in Clinton. Time will be some time after 6PM. The club will also have water bottles available.
If you plan on attending for an extended period, you may want to bring snacks and drinks of your choice.
