Good evening, this is _____, my name is _____. I’ll be your net Control Station for this addition of the GREATER BELOIT AMATEUR RADIO CLUB 2 METER NET.

Before continuing on I’ll take a brief standby for any URGENT TRAFFIC. This is ____ .

Continuing on.. This NET meets every Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm, on this frequency 147.120 with a PL of 123..  The purpose of this net is to provide an on air scheduled meeting place for HAMS..

In a few moments I’ll be taking check-ins, IN Alphabetical order according to the LETTER, that your call begins with.. YOU NEED NOT - be a member of the BELOlT CLUB to participate.. All Stations are Welcome and Encouraged to check in.. In other WORDS LET’S GET ACQUAINTED..

We use the following procedure for checking in, Call Net Control by Saying ____, Then un-key your MIC and Listen for a second or two to make sure you Haven’t Doubled with another Station.. If you, Hear another station checking in Let them finish checking in..

Then re-key your MIC, give your - Call, your Name and Location Slowly and Clearly..

If you have any traffic say - Traffic - when checking in..

Traffic includes - Club Meetings — ARES/RACES meeting or items of General Interest to net Participants..  Such as ARES/RACES EVENTS - SIMULATED EMERGENCY TEST and DRILLS - SELLING -or- BUYING RADIO EQUIPMENT FOR

YOURSELF..

If you have any questions on Ham Radio, we will see if someone on the AIR has an Answer for you..
